Savannah Carter, M.Ed.
Doctoral Extern
Who I Am:
I am a diagnostic practicum extern at APS and I am also a second year student at The Chicago School in the Clinical Psychology PsyD program. I am looking forward to gaining experience in diagnostic assessment and its integration into other areas of psychological treatment!
My Approach to Testing:
Coming into my program, I was set on only doing therapeutic techniques to solve psychological issues. However, as I continue to learn more about assessment, I realized that no long term therapy can occur without proper diagnostics and background on clients that assessment provides! I am excited to continue learning in the APS space and welcome any questions about our processes.
My Interests:
My clinical interests include forensic populations as well as community health areas that are working to assist the underserved populations of Chicago. I am also interested in anxiety and depression in adults and adolescents alike.
